Sports sportsbook operator Betway has revealed that it is the chief sponsor of the ESL Pro League 2017.
ESL Pro League is the longest-running tournament of its kind in professional CS:GO, and the sixth season begins today. Fourteen European and North American teams will fight it out online for a $1m reward.
The ESL’s online tournament will have matches thrice a week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, until the League finals from 8th to 10th December, scheduled to be held in Odense, Denmark.
Betway has had a successful partnership with ESL One Cologne early this year, and this sponsorship seems like a fitting follow-up.
Like it did at ESL One Cologne, Betway will add live odds to the event broadcast, put together by the operator’s team of e-sports traders.
Betway’s Director of Marketing and Operations, Anthony Werkman, said that the operator is excited about the next few months as some of the world’s leading CS:GO players fight it out for the ESL Pro League title, along with the $1m prize money.
“Supporting ESL One Cologne was a massive success, and the response from our live odds feeds into the show has only motivated us to get more involved with e-sports tournaments in the time to come,” he added.
Betway has been a leader in the e-sports segment in recent times, with a constant endeavor to enhance its quality and increase the betting amount. Betway also became a member of Esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC) in 2016.
